Let the Madden Team Move You! Inquire about all requirements and restrictions at both the pick-up and delivery locations, such as building protection, days and hours in which access is not permitted, parking restrictions, etc. Contact the building management or super, when applicable. Some building managements require moving companies to show a "Certificate of Insurance." These certificates protect the building against liability for damage. Make sure that your moving company knows all the restrictions and can meet all the requirements. Decide the way by which you may want to move your vehicle/s by driving or via a moving company. Get an estimate from 3-5 moving companies. If your move is large, inquire about free on-site estimates and ask for it in writing. Make sure that all services requested are included in the proposal. Inquire about the way in which you can insure the move. Ask whether the pick-up and delivery dates (or time-frame for delivery) are guaranteed. When you choose a moving company, take into consideration not only the price, but also the services included in the price, as well as the movers' reputation.
